Explore Missouri's Ozark Streams
Canoeing or Kayaking
in the Ozarks
Our mobile guide service was created to offer
you the unique
opportunity
to plan
your
own float trip. You decide the river we
float and the day we go. We will furnish the boats,
your lunch
and we can also furnish a round trip shuttle to
the river for you and your group.
Our trips are always guide supported floats. One
of our guides will go along to assist you and your
group. The guide will prepare the lunch provided
to you by River City Outfitters and show you
some paddling basics to help keep you and your group
safe and out of trouble.
Our goal is to make sure everyone has a
fun and safe experience on the water.
Your next exciting river
adventure is a phone call away!
So, what's your pleasure?
Canoeing
We offer you two different size canoes from which to choose:
- The extra large 19 foot River Explorer
- The smaller 16 foot solo River Runner
We use the larger River Explorer as our primary boat. The River Explorer has been on many of our site seeing trips down the Mississippi River and some of the larger Ozark streams. These very large canoes will comfortably carry three people plus their gear, two batteries and a large trolling motor. Whether you're planning a fishing trip with your buddies or an afternoon on your favorite river with friends or family, the River Explorer canoes are an excellent choice.
If you enjoy the freedom and solitude of padding your own boat and would like to explore one of your favorite Ozark streams in a smaller, more personal craft, then we recommend the 16 foot River Runner. Paddling solo gives you total control of your boat and the freedom to move around the river to visit with your partner or other members of your group.
For those of you with limited or no paddling experience, we have created a system to connect two of our River Explorers together. This permits one of our guides to take up to five people down the river all together as a single, safely operating unit. Connecting two of these boats together creates an extremely stable setup which is easily operated and exceptionally quiet! Sit back, relax and take in the scenery while we do all the driving. This setup is also a great fishing platform. Not only can you sit down or stand up while you cast from all four corners of the boat, the middle and rear seats are equipped with fish finders that keep an eye on what's happening below. Whether you're an experienced paddler or a first time floater, this is a fun and safe way for you and your family to explore one of your favorite Ozark streams.
All of our canoes have been carefully customized with your comfort and safety in mind. Our completely decked canoes are equipped with comfortable seats, cup/acc holders and dry storage areas that hold waterproof bags to keep your personal items safe and dry.
Flat Water Kayaking
Paddlers of all ages and experience levels will enjoy the day exploring the outdoors in one of these easy to handle, very stable flat water Predator kayaks. We offer these solo kayaks in two sizes: 11 and 14 foot with a carrying capacity of up to 400 pounds. Paddling one of these small, easy to control kayaks can be a great way to introduce children or beginners to the outdoors.
Note from Paul: These fun little boats are my personal favorites. I think they are much easier to maneuver around the river than any of the canoes.
